Representation Summary:

I agree with the removal of the Development Boundary at Normans Bay. I would like to request that the one-for-one policy RA3 is strictly enforced A resident was permitted recently to build two houses on a plot which had previously only contained a bungalow. The principal objection related to parking issues likely to arise but this was dismissed on the basis that this section of Coast Road is unadopted. The two houses are now occupied by residents who have eight vehicles and a fishing boat for which there is insufficient parking space within the properties to park these vehicles.

I agree with the removal of the Development Boundary at Normans Bay. I would like to request that the one-for-one policy RA3 is strictly enforced in future. A resident was permitted relatively recently to build two houses on a plot which had previously only contained a bungalow over objections from residents. The principal objection related to additional parking issues likely to arise but this was dismissed on the basis that this section of Coast Road is an unadopted road. The two houses are now occupied by residents who between them have eight vehicles and a fishing boat for which there is insufficient parking space within the properties to park all these vehicles. Neither garage on these properties is used for car parking purposes. On street parking of one or more of these vehicles obstructs our view when backing into the road.
