I support Option A to carry forward Policy EM8. Rother Valley Railway have made progress with existing Policy EM8 with developments at Robertsbridge Junction Station and the reinstatement of the line at Robertsbridge [to Northbridge Street] and at Bodiam [to junction Road].

The completion of the link will bring considerable economic benefits to the area attracting more tourists. The new RVR station close to the existing mainline station at Robertsbridge will enable visitors to the railway to use public transport.

The current planning application demonstrates the commitment of RVR to the existing planning policy EM8. RVR had demonstrated their compliance with the conditions in the 2006 version of the plan.
