Development and Site Allocations (DaSA) Local Plan - Options and Preferred Options

Representation ID: 22314

Received: 19/02/2017

Respondent: Mrs Drusilla Tramaseur

Representation Summary:

The proposed cultural area is skewed to the west of the town centre and should be better balanced. Given the motoring heritage of the town, and the listed buildings immediately to the east, the area should be extended as far as The Sackville to create better balance. The area already accommodates historic motoring shows and other events which spread to Galley Hill, such as fireworks displays. Therefore its inclusion in the cultural area would encourage further events to be held for the benefit of the town and its visitors.
