It is stated that the existing vehicle access via Foundry Close meets with the approval of both Highways England and ESCC Highways Authority. However there has not been extensive monitoring of the traffic flow on the A21 which is at peak times extremely heavy and jammed up. As the sole access this small road would be insufficient to cope with two way traffic and in my view cause dangerous conditions for residents.
Turning right out of Foundry Close can sometimes take 5 minutes. A one way system with another exit could help.
