Object to any proposition that would see the proposal of further shopping space (particularly a supermarket) in Rye.

The arrival of an aggressive supermarket would torpedo the ancient, delicate and unique nature of Rye High Street - which acts as a magnet to hundreds of thousands of visitors annually and upon which Rye's economy is largely based.

Goodbye newsagents, goodbye fruit and veg shops and goodbye bakeries.
