The focus for the strategy outlined in paras 13.6, 13.7 and 13.8 are sound but fails to mention:
1. Safety - which must be a key factor with investment in road transport
2. Electrification and dual tracking of the Marsh Link rail connection between Hastings and Ashford

Para 13.9 Regional Transport programme schemes/initiatives:
- Baldslow improvement (No.5) must be brought forward for completion to coincide with the Bexhill-Hastings Link Road to avoid a chaotic congestion problem at this major road iinterchange
- Suggest include also Rye Harbour Road/A259 junction improvement to improve road access to the Port of Rye and the industrial development site at Rye Harbour Road.
