The Assembly welcomes the reference to Hastings as a regional transport hub. The Core Strategy would benefit from clear reference to and support for the enhancement and/or management of the regional transport spokes that relate to the hub in policy, especially in regard to the level of regional connectivity for the major settlements and connectivity between sub-regions. This should be considered for all modes of travel in line with Policy T8 of the Proposed Changes to the South East Plan.
