We applaud the inclusion of Objective (vii) to maintain areas of remoteness. The 1997 County Council paper needs to be incorporated into the LDF .

We would urge a reference to the problem of traffic. Excessive traffic volume and speed is one of the most pernicious threats to the environment, particularly in a tourist area.
