Rastrum Ltd support the Preferred Strategy for Rye and Rye Harbour, they however question Section e) For the Town Centre
The importance of sustaining a viable Rye Town Centre is fully accepted and supported, however it is felt that the possibility of siting some additional shopping provision on Harbour road adjacent to Rye Harbour should not be over looked.
Section f) It is understood that some of these sites do not currently have the benefit of adequate flood defence. Too much reliance on this problem being resolved in the foreseeable future should not be given. It is felt that other sites be considered for allocation.
