Yes, but they are in part confounded by the proposals to build the link road, the Queensway office development and the suggestion that 800 homes and a station be built at Upper Wilting. These proposals beg the question that only lip service is being paid to the principles of (ix) "respecting the importance of the countryside" or (xii) "protecting vulnerable countryside gaps between settlements
