It would be helpful if the pre application advice given by officers could be included with the planning application.
The Society has received a number of applications where details of the pre application advice are noted on emails but no email included/
A requirement for a Statement of Consultation to include officer's advice would get over this. Commercially sensitive information could be redacted by the applicant.

In this case a Statement of Community Consultation should be required to accompany the planning application and this should include any advice given by officers as part of the pre application process.

The Rye Conservation Society believes that interested parties, both for and against an application should be given the opportunity to give a brief (3 minute) presentation to the committee.
This is a basic democratic principle and Rother a one of the few remaining councils that do not allow it.
