Robertsbridge is part of the Civil parish of Salehurst & Robertsbridge.
the Parish Council prefers to concentrate any enhancement of recreation/play areas at 'The Clappers Recreation Ground' which is central to and only a short walk from the three settlement areas of our parish, which comprises the three separate settlemenst of Robertsbridge, Northbridge Street and Salehurst. We do not recognise the designation 'West Robertsbridge' !

Village Appraisals
Robertsbridge is part of the Civil parish of Salehurst & Robertsbridge. The ecclesiastical parish is centred on Salehurst where the Anglican church is but there is a non-conformist church in Ropbertsbridge.
Community Needs for other services - the Parish Council prefers to concentrate any enhancement of recreation/play areas at 'The Clappers Recreation Ground' which is central to and only a short walk from the three settlement areas of our parish, which comprises the three separate settlemenst of Robertsbridge, Northbridge Street and Salehurst. We do not recognise the designation 'West Robertsbridge' !
Environment and Landscape Factors - The flood alleviation scheme was completed in 2004 and the flood walls are protective embankments not 'tidal walls'
Development Potential - Robertsbridge has a local need for affordable housing .....

(b) For Services and Community Development - we support the proposals but would like to see a strengthening of the protection of business premises against conversion to residential. Without this the village designation as a 'service centre is at risk.

(b) For Services and Community Development - we Support the proposals but would like to see a strengthening of the protection of business premises against conversion to residential. Without this the village designation as a 'service centre is at risk.

(C) For the Historic Environment - we Support the proposal to protect the locally distinctive character of historic buildings and settings and to this end would wish to see assessments for the historic settlements at Salehurst and Northbridge Street to see if they should be included in the Conservation Area schedule.
