To note the publication of the Fairlight Action Plan. (Covering the whole of Fairlight Parish.)This shows very little internal need for new housing for the residents of Fairlight - six individuals were looking for accommodation and of those five were looking for sheltered accommodation. Also the Draft Rural Settlements Study Part 2 pages 45 & 48 shows a "relatively low level of demand from the housing register". This does not support any identification of Fairlight as needing development, nor does it support the unqualified statement that "Affordable housing is a particularly pressing community need in rural areas."
