Believe that additional retail development should be smaller in size i.e., suffient for a Tesco Express type outlet selling groceries, wine and household items but not so large as to sell meat, fish and fresh vegetables. Resident do not want a High Street solely comprised of banks, building societies and gift shops. No additional retail development should adversely affect the character of shops in Rye.
