The strategy to release land within Rother District as a part of the wider proposed land allocation in Hastings Borough (land east of Breadsell Lane) should not be dependant on the provision of a new station at Wilting. As drafted, it could be construed that the entire Strategy for the Hastings fringes will require such provision. This may be a justifiable prerequisite for the release of land around Wilting itself but, it is suggested, this should be a specific requirement for that specific area of land only. Paragraph 6.56 should therefore be revised to make this distinction clear.
