Core Strategy Consultation on Strategy Directions 2008

Representation ID: 19699

Received: 02/03/2009

Respondent: Messrs. Chishick, Commotto and Terry

Representation Summary:

Given the widespread concern in village and other rural communities about traffic, we feel that a specific test of any development must be the minimisation of car journeys. Developments which generate traffic, particularly in sensitive or already overburdened areas, need to be discouraged.

(c) For Development in the Countryside
Specific reference needs to be made to preserving the landscape setting and not putting unacceptable pressure on facilities and amenities, including local roads. More of the Strategy Directions should be incorporated here.
