Rastrum’s experience is that there are no significant problems with local congestion. Although recognising that perceived poor connectivity of the region needs to be addressed to attract outside investors, Rastrum is confident that the existing road network is capable of absorbing the extra traffic that the wharf expansion would generate.

It is important that the LDF addresses the need to reduce global carbon dioxide omissions, including by encouraging more sustainable means of transporting goods. The LDF should support the increased use of Rye Harbour, the only port in the district.
