We object to the Rother District Plan in particular policy BX5. We oppose housing on this site and would suggest that any proposed housing could be located elsewhere within the district. By placing housing elsewhere the overall policy HOU2 could still be achieved.
Whilst building domestic dwellings on this site would comply with Policy HOU2 it would be to the detriment of the thriving commercial sector currently developing within the site. The loss of parking would have a detrimental effect to not only the commercial sector of the site but that of the Town Centre retail sector.
The current car park at Wainwright Road also provides community parking for attendees of community events within the 9th Bexhill Scout Hall. To loose such a facility to housing would be detrimental to the future development of the 9th Bexhill Scouting community.

The current car park in Wainwright Road currently fulfils its objective. Whilst also provides community parking for attendees of community events within the 9th Bexhill Scout Hall. To loose such a facility to housing would be detrimental to the future development of the 9th Bexhill Scouting community.
By keeping the Car Park at Wainwright Road, vital car parking will still be available to visitors to the 9th Bexhill Hall. Many residents of Reginald and Windsor Roads utilise the car park when no parking spaces are available by the roadside of their homes. With the carpark gone then even more residential roads will be full of parked cars. 200 houses = 200 cars
