FA8
Representation ID: 21284
Received: 03/08/2012
Respondent: Natural England
Natural England is satisfied that the issues raised during the 2011 consultation have been addressed and Natural England's main concerns have been resolved through the positive working of RDC and include:
(i) Addressing issues regarding the Habit Regulations Assessments.
(ii) Identifying partnership working to ensure protection of the Natura 2000 sites.
Consequently Natural England considers that those policies relating to the natural environment are sound and furthermore would advise under Regulation 102 of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 that the plan is unlikely to have a significant effect on any European site either alone or in combination.
Following the submission of this recent consultation regarding the focused amendments to the proposed submission core strategy to Natural England on the 14th June 2012 and our previous response issued to you on 11th November 2011 regarding the Habitat Regulation Assessment on the proposed submission core strategy, Natural England is satisfied that the issues raised have been addressed in this consultation and that together with the previous consultation Natural England's main concerns have been resolved through the positive working of Rother District Council and include:
(i) Addressing issues with regard to the Habitat Regulations Assessments.
(ii) Identifying partnership working to ensure protection of the Natura 2000 sites.
Consequently Natural England considers that those policies relating to the natural environment are sound and furthermore we would advise under Regulation 102 of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 that the plan is unlikely to have a significant effect on any European site either alone or in combination.
We look forward to working with Rother District Council on the implementation of their Core Strategy in the future.
