Representation Summary:

The Town Council's main area of concern is the impact of new development on an already overstretched infrastructure and whilst the additional number of dwellings proposed in the Core Strategy for the Plan period is acknowledged, there is a fear that, once completed, the unimplemented allocation of about 250 dwellings at Blackfriars will put further unacceptable strain on that infrastructure. The Council would therefore wish to see the Core Strategy include a statement which recognises this and requires that new development moves at a pace consistent with improvements in the infrastructure.
