Proposed that interested persons in Rye should examine the possibility of establishing a theatre and theatrical work place whose basic aim would be to put on the works not only of Fletcher but of the creative era in which he lived.
Would give rise to much needed work for a substantial number of people in our small town and, by attracting many visitors, would expand the economy and the tourist potential of Rye.
A theatre could be a base for the Rye Shakespeare Society, the Rye Players, the Film Society etc.
Use could be made of an existing building.
