The young persons section needs considerable improvement. Mention also should be given to the family and vulnerable singles. One bedroom homes do not allow for expansion. Communities are better if cross section of households provided.
Suggest qulification in document of role of LDF to effect complex issues impacting on social issues.
Suggest preferred strategy to meet needs of young people to provide i) affordable homes to retain young people in area;
ii)to take account young peoples needs for low cost modes of transport; iii) to help provide a broad spectrum of employment opportunities; iv) equip ther young with quality education and community facilities: v) Provide a range of recreational facilities.

Care to be taken not to create imbalance just because ot "social-economic" pressures.
40 % new properties for Affordable Housing, but also encourage family house building with appropriate rooms.

Infrastructure essential in growth programme
Grants for employment to come into the town and area. Colleges for language training & other skills. Light industry & cottage industries to receive assistance.

Quality and full range of goods for local community

Main Town Centre and shopping area update and encourage good shops to move in, is M&S, John Lewis, Debenhams. Have one area with affordable rents for smaller individual shops, cafes, boutiques, pedestrianised.

4. RECREATION & COMMUNITY FACILITIES - RE: open spaces, leisure facilities
Provide plenty of affordable sports, leisure and community buildings and include an Athletics Track.

Very necessary for further improvement and growth. The car is still necessary for families etc, to freely move around.

"Embrace the car" and work with personal/private transport.
Create efficient affordable public facilities.
Incorporate full safe cycle paths.
Concentrate on better cycling facilities for safety. Use Bexhill Promenade.
Cheaper rail/bus fares to encourage use.

Link Road will help with environment on A259 due to continued snarl up of traffic. Keep plenty of parks and other open spaces as possible, but adapt where necessary to changing needs.
