It is absolutely true that so many farms are being brought by non-farmers the only people who can afford them.
In some ways this allows young farmers an opportunity to rent land, but often this comes with many rules. No fertilisers, no sprays, no weekend or evening work, just extensive sheep. Hedgerows are left to grow and spread, trees to fall over.
The land rarely produces its potential.
