Rother Local Plan 2020-2040 (Regulation 18)

Representation ID: 26156

Received: 23/07/2024

Respondent: Walk Wheel Cycle Trust

Representation Summary:

We would consider LCWIPs and ROWIPs here and also TfSE plans for the area. Local people are the experts in understanding short cuts and the potential to link hamlets for example with bus stops. Many rural areas used to be criss-crossed with walking routes between villages. Some of these have fallen into poor condition and with a little maintenance and accessibility improvements could be used by a wider range of people.

As noted earlier in this document this policy applies to towns but not to Rural Villages that do not have effective and safe walking routes or practical public transport.
