as a forest school leader, who works with both children and adults, I know firsthand the benefits of green spaces and nature connection for all ages. I am fortunate to live in one of the 'old style' social housing developments in Battle, before it was a case of concrete and 'pack them in' and it is a joy to have the spaces between the homes, away from the roads, where children can play and neighbours can socialise. Wider nature is also so beneficial - I feel that development behind our estate BAT0014 will completely destroy that, and cut us off from the wild nature behind us which, as our children get older, they explore and enjoy.
