Rother Local Plan 2020-2040 (Regulation 18)
Representation ID: 25866
Received: 22/07/2024
Respondent: Mr Ian Lishman
If identified sites TIC0005, TIC0027, TIC0032 among others form part of such a historically significant and irreplaceable habitat of ecological importance, along with the Further consideration of this land for 9 (TIC0005) + 8 (TIC0027) dwellings would contradict both of Rother District Council's policies to be Green to the Core and Live Well Locally causing irreversible damage to the biodiversity of a significantly important area. Ancient woodland, protected wildlife species (tawny owls, newts, bats and deer) and richness of nature would be severely impacted. Therefore there should be no development of these areas as you've already identified their importance.
