If Battle is considered in an are of outstanding natural beauty and you refer to historic farmsteads in 1.31 why is it then that you are considering destroying yet more of it in BAT0014. In Battle you have allowed the Lillybank development, the Tollgates Development and The Blackfriars Development all on countryside and all without any addition infrustructure.

"Rother's historic environment is highly valued" as an ideal opportunity to exploit the land that previous generations have protected.
The plan includes building right up against the 'historic battlefield' (BAT0014) which is particularly unpalatable on greenfield that has been actively used as grazing land for centuries, adjoins the listed Almonry Farm and is in designated AONB.

Re BAT0014 - if you truly value Battle - if you really recognise the values of historic farmsteads, especially ones with footpaths leading directly to the Battlefield, then you would not consider putting a large development on this site, especially as there are other parts of Battle which do not have such historical or environmental significance. We already have an estate along North Trade road - Asten Fields - which fills the area for strip planning along a main highway. Extending so much further back, especially taking out an area of scarce Grade A agricultural land, will completely change the character of this particular area, as well as being a loss for habitat
