Sufficient consideration will be needed to the fact that Rother has more than the national average number of older residents . With this is mind smaller units of housing, mainly bungalows of smaller size with small garden spaces would suit those who still wish to be independent with their own space and who could then downsize to release larger homes for families. Similarly low-level apartments with lifts would probably be useful. Starter homes and smaller units for single folk and couples with perhaps one younger child at an affordable cost either to buy or rent are an absolute essential to plan for.
