Unfortunately I have not been able to read the RSS document. This process is labourious enough for a ley person to understand. However, by creating these service centres, undue additional pressure is being put on the space within these 2 villages. Not only are they expected to cater for their own population, but for other villages as well (see comments on tourism for use of village space). Would it not be better to try to create new facilities is some other villages (where a slightly higher popultation in these villages may make them sustainable?)

The inclusion of Robertsbridge as a rural service centre within the settlement hierarchy is strongly supported. This reflects the variety of amenities and sustainable location of Robertsbridge and also reflects National Planning Policy identified within PPS7.
