Representation Summary:

The plan to build dwellings on this site is outrageous. How typical it is of the autocratic Rother District Council to plan to construct homes on a site will which completely ruin the peaceful, pastoral environment that existing residents have enjoyed for many years. In its desperate attempts to build homes so it can gather more Council Tax and other financial benefits with which it will line its own pockets, the despotic RDC will destroy for ever this and other valued tracts of the East Sussex countryside.
The distress and disturbance caused by the overly long construction of the NBAR proves that RDC cannot be trusted to consider the sensitivities and well being of the district's existing residents, to say nothing of the negative impact on our flora and fauna.
More homes, more people, more cars, more pollution, more stress on local amenities and services; more built environment, more meadow and woodland destroyed and gone for ever - this is the future the dictatorial RDC is planning for us all. Why? Greed, pure and simple.

Representation Summary:

These 3 fields are currently well used farmland and contain ancient hedges supporting wildlife and biodiversity. When developed this land never be replaced.
The views from the rear of Mayo Lane are superb, and I for one moved there for that reason. Losing the views will spoil the enjoyment of our garden and house not to mention the health benefits of living this close to the countryside.
The area will become overcrowded and the traffic and pollution will increase and with it the dangers that follows. This is already evident since Watermill Lane was stopped up and can only get worse when hundreds of households cars try to get out on Watermill Lane and Mayo Lane. Surely direct access onto the NBAR would have been a better idea and safer. In the past the emergency services have not supported development there for just that reason? James French.

Representation Summary:

We moved to Mayo Rise due to the semi rural setting as we wanted a rural outlook located in a quiet area for our retirement and NOT to be surrounded by houses and all the noise that this sort of environment brings. We have spent a considerable amount of money on our house (adapting it to our needs) due to viewing it as our 'forever home'. Now because of the proposed development our house will be seriously devalued and our rural view along with the peace and quiet that we value will be ruined. It also appears as if the proposed cycle path goes through our small plot of land (that we own) located on the other side of Mayo Rise road - opposite our house where we have planted plum trees, bulbs and shrubs.
