Draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) - 2015

Representation ID: 21828

Received: 12/09/2015

Respondent: Mr Christopher Stevens

Representation Summary:

Para 4.11 the "my alerts" need to do as they say. This currently isn't the case with planning applications listed for those who sign up for the service. This is contrary to good practice and UK law.

Respondent: Judith Dean

Representation Summary:

Does the information on 'My Alerts' and other forums include permitted development rights applications? If not, it would be a good idea if it did to safeguard communities from opportunistic developments. Also the range in which notification is given should be extended in areas of more scattered housing.

Could the technology used to inform the 'My Alerts' system of planning applications within 400 metres, be used to identify even closer neighbouring properties, and those properties receive written notification of applications (in addition to the pink notice)?

Many Councils send out weekly planning lists to the public - why can you not do this?
