Representation Summary:

Given that Parish Councillors do not have to be elected i.e if there are not enough people willing to stand, no election takes place, (as in Robertsbridge this year), should the views of the parish council members carry any weight at all? After all, in the instance given above, they are not democratically elected by the villagers and have not detailed their views of village life. I another instance, where people can be co-opted on to the parish council, you could get a very one sided view which does not relate to the villagers views in gereral.
