Representation ID: 19371

Received: 17/02/2009

Respondent: Natural England

Representation Summary:

Natural England would like to commend Rother on its realistic, flexible approach to development dependent on the Bexhill Hastings Link Road project. The draft Strategy's outlining of risks and incorporation of contingencies associated with completion of the project manages to uphold priorities to protect rural character and environmental assets, and to encourage economic growth.

Core Strategy Consultation on Strategy Directions 2008

Representation ID: 19830

Received: 04/02/2009

Respondent: Crowhurst Society

Representation Summary:

The premise of the box is misleading in that not all benefits to Rother will accrue from working with Hastings some including shares of finance from central government will be less as a result of the partnership.

This is a Rother working document and this box may be rather out of place.

The learning strategy that has been adopted in Hastings has not been very successful. What is the point of working to deliver in Hastings when there are needs to be serviced in Rother?
